BC Sustainable
Energy Association Nominated for VIATec Award
VICTORIA, BC-The
Vancouver Island Advanced Technology Centre (VIATeC) has announced
the finalists for the VIATeC 2006 Technology Awards. The BC
Sustainable Energy Association (BCSEA) has been nominated
in the Community Involvement category which recognises an
individual or organisation that has demonstrated its commitment
to Vancouver Island communities through philanthropic support
and participation.
BCSEA's nomination cites the many public presentations, educational
field trips, special events and projects spawned by the provincial
organization on its home turf of southern Vancouver Island.
The organization maintains a very active schedule of policy
and public engagement on energy and climate change solutions.
VIATec's fourteen awards celebrate excellence
and innovation in the Vancouver Island technology industry,
recognizing members who have demonstrated outstanding commitment
to the technology sector through involvement, volunteering
and support of VIATeC.
The 2006 VIATeC Technology Awards will be held on May 17
at the Victoria Conference Centre, where 500 of the technology
and business communitys movers and shakers will celebrate
excellence in Vancouver Islands technology community.

The BCSEA is a non-profit association of citizens, professionals
and practitioners, committed to promoting the understanding,
development, and adoption of sustainable energy and energy
conservation and efficiency in British Columbia.
