Board Director
Olga holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Geological and Mineral Engineering from the University of Toronto and a Master’s Degree in Geological Engineering from UBC.
She is a licensed Professional Engineer with over 20 years of work experience in mine operations, financial and engineering consulting industries, and academia. She is currently serving as Mining Engineering Faculty at BCIT School of Construction and the Environment, helping to develop the next generation of mining leaders, and seeking opportunities to collaborate with school and industry partners.
She has experience in the entire cycle of mining projects, ranging from site investigation to closure and reclamation, and has worked on precious/base/industrial mineral projects, as well as coal and oil sands, uranium, and nuclear power projects.
Her work has taken her to various environments ranging from tropical to the Arctic, with locations including Brazil, Canada, Russia, Tanzania, Venezuela, and the U.S.A.
She is a certified Mine Diver, having completed her training at the flooded Bonne Terre Mine near St. Louis, Missouri, U.S.A.
Olga holds a designation as a qualified board candidate CDI.D from Corporate Directors International LLC. and is a 2019 graduate of the ACE Board Training for Women.
