This month, our chapter had the distinct pleasure of hosting our WiSE – 2024 event, (Women in Sustainable Energy), at BCIT’s downtown campus. We were honoured to host mentors from all sorts of professional backgrounds and were grateful to have reached maximum capacity for this event, bringing people together to network and share their insights toward working in BC’s energy sector.

An enormous amount of gratitude goes out to our volunteers for their committed efforts to this event, Cyndi Jarvis for accompanying the organization of this event at every stage, and Katerin Osorio – Vera for guiding this event to success.  We wish all of our attendees the best of luck in their futures.

A huge thankyou to our sponsors, BCIT – Business and Media Program, IBEW Local 258 Women’s Committee, Barkley Project Group, SES Consulting, and Generac.  Stay tuned for WiSE-2025!

We encourage anyone looking to volunteer to contact us as soon as possible, as our Vancouver chapter will be hosting a volunteer onboarding session later this month.
