My name is Jonathan Garcia, and I am a Master’s candidate in Environmental Management at Royal Roads University. With a solid foundation in business operations, and community engagement, I am passionate about advancing sustainable energy initiatives. As a young member of the BCSEA Victoria Chapter Steering Committee, I aim to promote sustainable practices and build networks to drive impactful change.

In addition to my studies in environmental management, I hold a degree in Electronics Engineering and a Master of Business Administration. This combination of technical expertise and strategic business insight has allowed me to bridge the gap between innovative energy technologies and practical implementation in industrial and community settings. My diverse professional experience spans supply chain management, human resources, and technical sales, providing me with a unique perspective to help industries to transition to sustainable energy practices.

Beyond my professional pursuits, I am deeply dedicated to advocating for community well-being and inclusivity. As a volunteer with the Canadian Red Cross, I have supported the HELP program, assisting individuals with health equipment needs. Additionally, my role as a Health and Wellness Liaison at Royal Roads University has allowed me to champion student well-being by fostering a supportive and inclusive campus environment. These experiences have reinforced my belief in the power of community-driven solutions to address complex challenges.

I am dedicated to leveraging my expertise, passion, and multidisciplinary background to contribute meaningfully to BCSEA’s mission. I firmly believe in the power of inclusive and resilient energy solutions to shape a sustainable future for British Columbia and beyond.
