Results of BC Hydro’s Clean Power Call — a Big Step Forward for Sustainable Energy
Vancouver – Al Humber, Chair of the BC Sustainable Energy Association, made the following statement in response to B.C. Hydro’s announcement of its 2024 Call for Power. on Dec 9, 2024
“The 2024 call for power is a big step for a clean-energy transition in B.C. We believe BC Hydro’s new power acquisitions will strongly support greenhouse gas reductions in B.C. while helping to create jobs, keep energy affordable, and promote reconciliation with First Nations. The world is going in this direction and B.C. should do its share.”
The BC Sustainable Energy Association is a registered charity and a non-profit association of citizens, professionals, and practitioners committed to promoting the understanding, development, and adoption of sustainable energy, energy efficiency, and energy conservation in British Columbia. BCSEA supports the province’s transition to a lower-carbon economy, including electrification of BC’s energy system.
