BCSEA, Vancouver Chapter  enjoyed attending the 3rd and final Chilliwack Rotary Climate Fair on April 12, 2025. We met a lot of incredible people working in climate change and energy, from renewable energy to community leaders supporting innovative solutions in protecting or restoring biodiversity. The Steering Committee had inspiring conversations, which inspired us for the year ahead. We look forward to future Rotary-led climate events and hope to see many of you again.

On April 22, 2025, we are celebrating Earth Day! This year’s themes are renewable energy and biodiversity. Perfectly fitting for us at the BCSEA.

There are a number of events happening on the Lower Mainland. For example, Keep the Earth Fresh Vancouver Earth Day Event and Cleanup 2025, North Vancouver, Party for the Planet in Surrey, Women’s Earth Day Zero Waste Picnic & Clothing Swap in Kitsilano, or the Trout Lake Community event. These are just a few examples of great initiatives happening. Also, check out Earth Day Canada for more information and events.

The Chapter is always looking for new members to get involved in events, networking, and advocacy. Currently, we are looking for someone to join the Vancouver Chapter Steering Committee as Treasurer. The Steering Committee requires membership and plays a leadership role in the operational activities of the local chapter. Please reach out to the chapter for more information.
