Victoria Chapter at the Gorge Canada Day Picnic and New Steering Committee Member

Victoria Chapter volunteers had a great time connecting with Victorians at the Gorge Canada Picnic on July first.

The weather was fine, and an estimated 10,000 attendees thronged the event, which ran along the upper half of Victoria’s Gorge waterway.

Our goal for the day was to connect with as many people as possible. It appears we achieved just the right combination of engaging energy quiz questions and fun prizes.

Grown-ups and children alike stopped by to test their knowledge on energy and climate action issues – and to claim a prize. The BCSEA keychain penlights and BCSEA shopping bags were very popular.  We were kept continuously busy throughout the day, engaging with 300 – 400 people.

Also, the Chapter welcomes Christina Peet Williams onto the Steering Committee. We hope to do lots of good things together.
