Vancouver’s New Green Building Regulations – Approved by City Council May 17, 2022

The City of Vancouver is implementing a series of green building proposals that were recently approved by City Council. One set of proposals targets approvals streamlining, resiliency, energy consumption, operational emissions, and embodied emissions in new developments with large buildings. Another targets energy and carbon reporting, as well as operational emissions limits for existing buildings over 50,000 square feet.
