The BCSEA Youth Involvement Project (YIP) goals are to inform/ educate high school students from grades 9 – 12 about the various sustainable alternative energy technologies and energy conservation measures presently in use around the world.
The BCSEA has many information sources as to future careers in renewable energy and participating students may opt for either a paid work experience or a job-shadowing opportunity from one of our BCSEA business members. YIP volunteers wish to encourage hands-on green projects at their schools.
A Youth Involvement Project kicks off with this presentation.
YIP is an outreach program of the Victoria chapter of the BC Sustainable Energy Association whose mandate is to assist our region in achievement of 100% Renewable Energy by 2050 in tandem with the City of Victoria’s 2018 Climate Leadership Plan.
