On Saturday, 5 October, the Victoria Chapter had a table at City Green’s Retrofit! Community Festival event at the Centre for Trades, Education and Innovation at Camosun College on Interurban Road.

On display in the Expert Alley were all the products and services now being offered to homeowners who want to make their homes more climate friendly and comfortable without breaking the bank.

In the years since BCSEA began, impressive progress has been made in building technologies – heat pumps, building design, etc. – and the incentives and services available to help homeowners make the right choices.

There was a definite atmosphere of determination to achieve sustainability in new-builds and retrofits, and hope that it’s achievable.
